Cheri Lian, Creator
Cheri Lian conceptualized Generous Kids in 2007 following news reports of children around the world being taught hatred and prejudice. Those reports, along with the death of her 7 year old nephew, inspired her to develop a property that would teach children worldwide about generosity and tolerance. Cheri has long understood the meaning of generosity. With her father, a long time board member of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Cheri has chaired fundraising events for the hospital, including one in memory of founder Danny Thomas. She is an active member of her church supporting regular charitable events. Prior to founding Generous Kids, Cheri worked in the point-of-purchase advertising industry. She graduated from Siena College, cum laude, with a BS in marketing and management. Her inspiration - Mother Teresa!
